Getting Your
License
|
Welcome! Congratulations for choosing real estate as
your career. We want you to know that we’ll be with you every step of
the way and are committed to equip you for continued and increasing
success.
Now that you’ve decided to get your real estate license, your first step
is to get your pre-license (or Provisional Sales Associate License). Here’s how to
get started:
|
 |
Apply for your mandatory background check.
Oklahoma requires a national background check with fingerprint for all
new licensee applications. The process can take up to 60 days, so it is
recommended that students start the process in advance.

Pass the state pre-license exam.
Once you complete the OAR pre-license course and pass the final exam,
you are eligible to sit for the state licensing exam. The real estate
commission requires that you bring proof of citizenship, a recent
wallet-size photo and have your application notarized.
